Nursery Rhyme And Reason

I've been collecting lots of inspiration for decorating the new baby's nursery, and since we decided to wait to do anything until we know if it's a boy or a girl, I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by all of the different options. After discovering the completely inspiring Little Green Notebook, I've gathered a whole new bunch of great ideas.







I've been stuck on doing a robin's egg blue for a boy's room, but I'm really digging it for a girl too, as per the last picture...what do you think?

Amazing Technicolor Chalkboard Paint

Just when you thought chalkboard paint was just about the coolest thing ever, it now comes is a whole slew of colors! I'm seriously thinking about painting a wall of this in my basement and letting Little J go ba-nanas.

Bag It

I've resigned myself to the fact that I will probably be carrying a diaper bag for the next 10 years, or at least until I'm done having children and they are all potty trained...but even then, will I really be done with a diaper-ish bag? Regardless, I really like the bag I have now, but it's gettting pretty beaten up, and just found this new one that I am loving! The best part is, it looks like handbag- albeit, a large one, but who doesn't love that? Not to mention, the price is amazing!

Sad News

The beloved Cookie Magazine will be shutting down, along with a few other Conde Nast publications, including Gourmet, Elegant Bride, and Modern Bride. This magazine was so great for modern parenting articles, new product info, and super-creative ideas. Since becoming a parent myself, I have really grown to love Cookie as well as it's website (staying up til the end of the year, thankfully!), and am very sad to see it go.

You Give Me Fever

So I am having a serious case of baby fever right now. My baby girl is almost 1 now, and everyday she seems less like a baby and more like a little girl, and I am just so in love (obsessed) with her that I can't wait to have more! (And I am still saying all this after being up 2 hours with her last night, so you know it's serious!)


Some of my favorite bloggers are expecting- Jordan, Rubyellen and Gabrielle, and it's only enhancing the fever! There is nothing more exciting than new life coming into the world!

Sweetiepie Restaurant

I just discovered this adorable NYC gem via LMNOP, called SweetiePie Restaurant.


They have bright pink couches and marble floors, and you can even sit in a giant birdcage to eat!

They serve all kinds of treats, including an 18-scoop sundae called the Sweetiepig Sundae!

And they have a bar too- double whammy!

Will definitely try to make my way here with Baby J.

Check out this great new app for the iPhone! I bet this comes in very handy when you find yourself stuck in a grocery line, or waiting in traffic with your little one. I will definitely utilize this when Baby J gets older!

Couture Car Seat

Just ordered one of these carseats for Baby J from Natity's Designs. She custom makes every cover, as well as a variety of other baby items- and not to mention, she is a super-cool chick. All of the fabrics are bright and fun- and she even does bedding!
