Nursery Rhyme And Reason

I've been collecting lots of inspiration for decorating the new baby's nursery, and since we decided to wait to do anything until we know if it's a boy or a girl, I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by all of the different options. After discovering the completely inspiring Little Green Notebook, I've gathered a whole new bunch of great ideas.

I've been stuck on doing a robin's egg blue for a boy's room, but I'm really digging it for a girl too, as per the last picture...what do you think?

Amazing Technicolor Chalkboard Paint

Just when you thought chalkboard paint was just about the coolest thing ever, it now comes is a whole slew of colors! I'm seriously thinking about painting a wall of this in my basement and letting Little J go ba-nanas.

Not So Complicated

Fern and Feather has one of my favorite movie houses to date featured, and I couldn't be more excited! "It's Complicated" is not only a great movie, but the house Meryl Streep's character lives in is to. die. for. and completely lust-worthy. It makes you want to live in a French country house, grab a big basket and head to the garden, cook gourmet food, and eat ice cream in the bathtub- in case you don't already!

White Out

I've been in the midst of a blackout after a huge storm swept through our area on Thursday afternoon, so I am back with a little white out love.
I love love love white decor in a house- I think it's both clean and cozy, and a very convenient to add just a splash of color here and there. It also lends itself well to soft, natural light, which I can't get enough of!

My husband and I tend to disagree on this, as he thinks too much white in a room is "boring," but I completely disagree! How about you?

All About Vanity

I spotted this vanity on last night's "9 By Design" and I absolutely love it! And guess what else? It's on sale! I have been on the hunt for a vanity for a long time now, and this one is perfection!

Urban Vases

I just spotted these sweet, simple vases over on Oh Happy Day- aren't they perfect? Are they're from Urban Outfitters! Since my daughter has taken to picking single blooms for me from the yard (she's the best!), these vases would be the perfect display for them!

Calgon, Take Me Away...

In keeping with my current love for white rooms, these bathrooms knocked me out over at Simply Luxurious. Can't you just picture yourself ending a long day in one of these gorgeous tubs?

Kitchen Love

I know I am a serial poster of beautiful kitchens, and today is no exception. I was just browsing over at Fern and Feather and found these absolutely gorgeous kitchens that I had to share.
Kitchen features I am completely obsessed with: farmhouse sinks, subway tiles, lots of light.

Sixx Design

I can't get enough of "9 By Design" on Bravo these days. I absolutely love Robert and Cortney's eclectic yet impeccable style, mixed in with the chaos of having 7 children (one being a brand new baby!). They buy up amazing properties, redo them, move into them, and then sell them! They are two incredibly brave people people in more ways than one. Check out this piece they did for New York Social DIary.

Blue Carrot

This is the sweetest little shop full of fun vintage finds, and they update constantly! I would love to fill my house with all of these adorable little trinkets. Obviously some of these items have already been sold, but they are just a little taste of what you can find there!

Tub Thumping

via SPPN

I don't know if I love this bathroom for its pure beauty, or the peaceful light coming through all those windows...or maybe it's the fact that I want to log hours lying in that bathtub, doing absolutely nothing.

Photo Wall

Ever since the lovely Little Miss J came into my life, I take more pictures than ever before. I would love to someday have a wall like this covered with photos of her and our whole family.

Before and After

Amazing before and after of a living room over at Design*Sponge.

This looks like any other house that you might move into...

And then, BAM! It looks like a picture right out of Domino Magazine.
Seriously- this room is amazing.
See the whole incredible cottage here.

Kitchen Wishin' II

Yet another gorgeous kitchen on Traditional Home. I think if I could design my dream kitchen, it would look a lot like this. I love the light fixtures and the white tile backsplash, the marble countertops, and those huge windows that let in so much daylight!

I would throw a dinner party (or at least a cocktail hour!) every weekend if this was my kitchen.

Baby J would be so cute sitting at the end of this island helping me cook!

Love love love those light fixtures- they are actually antique ship lights!

Cozy little seating area for your morning coffee.

What a perfect little hiding spot for the paper towel roll!
And who doesn't love a farmhouse-style sink?

A Different Kind of Nursery

This is one of my favorite little girl room designs. I really like all the bright colors and the drum kit, and I especially love those tutus!! Hoping to try that down the line for Baby J.

Kitchen Wishin'

Jackie over at Sweetie Pie Pumpkin Noodle has an amazing eye for interior design and posted these amazing kitchen photos that I can't stop thinking about!

I love the marble and wood combo on the countertops. And all those windows- swoon!

Yup, this is the fridge and freezer- cool, right?

The hanging copper pots and the green foliage really bring a lot to the white motif.
