Today I celebrate my beautiful, amaazing daughter and this last incredible year she has given me. Today she turns one, and it is both exciting and emotional, remembering where I was one year ago today. She has brought so much joy into our lives, and we are so grateful for her.
Happy Birthday, baby girl. I couldn't be happier to be your mom and to share this special day with you.

Party Prep

This is what my dining room table looks like right now- and yes, that is pink toilet paper you see. We are in full party planning mode getting ready to celebrate Baby J turning 1! I have been channeling my inner Martha and trying to incorporate so many of the inspiring ideas that I've come across in the blogosphere, and I am very excited about how it will all turn out!

This week is a birthday marathon in our house- all 3 of us in the same week, within 3 days, actually! And today I send millions of birthday wishes and kisses to my wonderful husband, who turns 31 today. He isn't really a huge fan of birthdays, and to be honest, we have both been so consumed with planning Baby J's first birthday party, that we haven't given much thought to anything else anyway! But I celebrate him today, and how grateful I am to have him in my life. He is an incredible partner, father, and friend, and he makes my life better every single day.

Over-the-Knee Boots, Over My Head?

I'm not quite sure how I feel about this big trend. I saw someone walking down the street yesterday wearing these boots, and they just looked awkward. Now don't get me wrong, I am ALL about boots, but maybe these over-the-knee boots are better suited for the runway or even the city, as opposed to the 'burbs. Thoughts?

Judy Aldridge

I have been enamored with Judy Aldridge's blog, Atlantis Home. She seems to be such a unique woman with a style all her own. Her uber-fab daughter, Jane, was on "The City" last week, which sparked my interest in her blog, and reminded me that I had heard of her and her mother before in previous blog posts.
I love seeing the outfits they put together, and all of their fun vintage and designer finds.

Opening Ceremony

Sooo, I have just found my replacement for the black riding boots I lost out on. These Opening Ceremony Riding Boots are perfection!! They have a similar, yet more casual look, and I LOVE them. With me and J's big joint birthday coming up, I am feeling even more celebratory than usual. I am so excited about sharing a birthday with her, that I feel like some sparkle should definitely be part of the celebration (for both of us). Marco...Polo...

I just had to post about these completely gorgeous Marco Flat boots from Tory Burch that I have been in love with for months. I have now learned that they are not available anywhere, which is very disappointing. And yes, I missed them when they were on Gilt...twice. Boo. If anyone ever sees them available please let me know!!
